How to care for cut anemone?
When placing your order online, ensure that you set the delivery date for our bulk anemone flowers 2 days before your event. Keep in mind that we will ship a few extra blooms to you because these anemones tend to spoil. Upon arrival, inspect the blooms and ensure they are all intact. If the blooms are spoiled, do not remove them from packaging and contact our customer service team immediately. Once the inspection is complete and the flowers look good, follow these steps:
- Clean a container well with soap and warm water, make sure to rinse well to ensure there is no soap residue remaining
- Fill your clean container with about 4 inches of water
- Add any flower food that is available; follow instructions on its respective packaging
- Go back over to the flowers and remove everything, such as rubber bands or plastic sleeves
- Cut off any foliage that touches or falls below the water line; foliage touching or below can shorten the life of your flower.
- Under running cool water, cut about 1 inch off of the bottom of the stems
- After cutting, place immediately into your prepared water
- Enjoy your fresh flowers!
Ensure that you leave enough space in each container for your blooms to breathe. All flowers take a minimum of 4 hours to rehydrate, it can also take up to 12 hours. Ensure enough rehydration time is allowed for the best outcome. Keep flowers in a temperature controlled room, avoid extreme temperatures and drafts. Also keep your blooms away from direct sunlight, extended exposure to sunlight can dull the blooms. Lastly, ensure a water change is done every 24 hours.
